Dittmann ORGANNEL CHARTS™ are ORGAnizational charts with persoNNEL data sheets linked to the chart ( I know, it's clever!). By taking advantage of HyperCard's™ point-and-click approach to applications, all you do in ORGANNEL CHARTS™ is (you guessed it) point-and-click. I took the trouble to generate a simple organizational chart that you might be familiar with (assuming you work in industry). You certainly can put in any organization you want, but the one I chose is for demonstration purposes only. -STEP ONE- By now you figured out how to get this far, so let's assume you want to understand ORGANNEL CHARTS™. The first thing you do is click on "CHARTS". The card that you will see is the demo organization chart. At this point you could change all the positions to suit yourself (they are field blocks) or you could let me finish this demo. You will also notice that each position has a "radio button" next to it. -STEP TWO- All you do is click on the "radio button" to show the personnel in that particular part of the oraganization. Now you see a list of names of the manager/supervisior and his/her subordinates. You will also notice that each person has a "radio button" next to their name. You guessed it again, here comes the personnel data sheet for that individual. -STEP THREE- All you do is click on any "radio button" to bring up the personnel data sheet. The personnel data sheet is general in nature and, if you like, can change it to suit your particular need or have me do it (see authors note). I have done a personnel sheet for Sally Smith, so click on her name when you open the department for the DIVISION MANAGER. This will give you an idea of how the sheet works. -RECOMMENDATION- Since this stack will grow as you add people, I recommend that you put this stack on a hard disk or a floppy of it's own. -Click on CHARTS to use this stack. Thank you for paying for this stack.
